Should be a great time, we will probably (hopefully) be busy with lessons during the day but hope to see a lot of people there and out at night!

Book up your trips, stay for 10 days or 2 weeks (or longer), its cheap and easy and kickass riding.

Padre goes off all of October though June, flat water is all the time, best chance for good wave riding later in the season (November December) and throughout the winter.

call ahead for weather update, mid November is 50/50 if its gonna be boardshorts or wetsuit just depends on the weather pattern that week.

Southwest flies into Harlingen (HRL) 45 min drive or a $20 shuttle from the island

Other airlines fly to Brownsville (BRO) 30 minute drive or a FREE shuttle Smile

I've also flown into McAllen (MFE) on American before, it's not terribly farther.

The expo is looking pretty good. Marina says Alex Pastor (PRKA champ) is coming in and will be putting on a clinic. Carol and I will be hosting the Best demo and organizing the wave side down winders. I'm pretty sure there will be some rum cake and jello shots at some point during the weekend.

More airport info:

Brownsville / BRO: 35 minutes, served by United and American
Harlingen / HRL: 65 minutes, served by United, Southwest, Sun Country, Delta
McAllen / MFE: 90 to 115 minutes, served by United, America, Allegiant, AeroMar

Southwest is usually cheaper but sometimes United or American have some good pricing for getting in through Brownsville. American flies through Dallas, United comes in through Houston.

If you can't get Southwest to book a flight through from Seattle or Portand to Harlingen try booking first to Houston and then a separate booking from Houston to Harlingen. At some point in the fall their web site stops routing you all the way through but it works to make two separate reservations.
