My wife got separated from the board this Sunday in a long lull. With her kite in the water and not willing to take off, and no wind to do anything useful with the GoJoe attached to the board, all she had to do is watch the board go for a trip in the channel, towards White Salmon bridge.
After loosing sight of the board and being very unsure about the wind's intentions, she body dragged back to the Event Site Sandbar. Then, miraculously, her board showed up right there. A windsurfer lady handed it over to her. We are very puzzled how did that happen (it seems very difficult to haul a board on a windsurfer). Our best theory is that a fellow kiter took the board back to the Sandbar, or perhaps the GoJoe did it's thing once the wind finally picked back up, and sailed the board to the right spot.
Either way, if it was indeed somebody giving the green board with a GoJoe a ride, THANKS!! |
