Is anyone have an extra surf board for tomorrow, maybe with straps? 5,6' or 5,8'?
Was suppose to get one from Brave Dave with Slingshot for that race but he is probably not in town this weekend...
I should be out there around 10:30 AM

How did it go today. How many people finished? Was it good wind the whole way?

It went pretty well. There was wind at the start and finish but everywhere in between was slim pickings. Not sure how many DNF's there were but I think there were a couple. A couple of the foil guys did really well. Rebstock was on a foil and I think he got 3rd.

Blowout rocked and it had it all. The Bolstad clan just know how to make it fun and if you've ever thought you might like to do the event....do it! Anything can happen so you may win it, or finish DFL, but everyone is just as stoked either way.
Kites ranged from 7m to 17m. Ski's, foils, strapless, windusurfers and Gman in a vintage sparkly kayak. (Story in itself.)
Big lulls mixed with DNF carnage and sweet rolling swell and sun. Winner came in around an hour or so. Laughs and smiles from start to finish with beers, brats and swag afterward...so what's not to love.

Are you going to post any of the results? I'm sure you don't have the data but it would be interesting to know the kite size & board type of each of the kiters.

Moondog actually I didn't ride the foil during the race...
I actually went out again after arriving back at Stevenson at the end of the day.
Thanks tony for capturing the event so well.
And thanks to tony carol and grom for making this event go so smooth from registration to getting everyone on the water in a timely manner. I was pretty nervous taking the strut less kite out not knowing what kind of conditions awaited us but it turned out to be the best weapon for the lulls..
