it is a 7m2 2007 SS kite.

He Started in 9 BFT. Even little kids blew away over the beach... really!
And Windsurfers stopped or didn,t even go out anymore.

In the afternoon it setteled to 8 bft. And the pumpkinpiehaircutted still was looping the shit out of everything.

Airtemp was 9 degrees (Celcius), and seawatertemp about 12 degrees.
This Boy is harder than a rock!
I can't think of anyone being more tougher or more stupid than he is, truly one of a kind.

It was a great week with storm, but this last day was UNBELIEVABLE.

i notice he's still on a C... i've never really spent a lot of time on one (i'm a child of the bows)... what do you get out of a C that you don't with a bow? more power?

never having flown a bow kite, i'm probably not the best expert on this, but i know with a C kite, you get a lot more explosive pop when you send the kite. I see some buddies of mine riding 7m waroos, and it seems like a very slow lift up, and an even slower let down on that kite. Whereas me, on my 11m fuel, i send the kite, then it seems like i am instantaneously 15-20 ft in the air.

from riding both kites the biggest differience i feel is the turning. when you crank the bar on a bow the kite looses most of its forward speed and pivots then when it stops turning it accelerates again. A C the kite doesnt loose much speed through the turn so you get more of a swoop.

From my experience... Depending on how flat the kite is and how narrow it is towards the tips it will have more or less power when its looping. Not all flat kites spin on their own axis, but C kites generally have more power in loops.

The way Ruben throws kiteloops I haven't seen many do, throwing the loop on the way up into a big jump. It seems to make kites do much deeper loops. Another thing Ruben has going for him is short lines, 20m I think.

Pros seem to prefer C shapes mostly too because they give a more solid downwind pull for powered unhooked stuff.
