Just hanging out in the sun, throwing people out of airplanes - you know, living the dream baby!

Oh, that, and apparently confusing the NWkiteworld with my maladjusted sense of humor...

See you in Baja in less than 30 days!

Very Happy

OFF TOPIC: In the two times JP and I've tried to snowkite T-line, we haven't had much luck... I'm sure it's probably the best 'moutain' spot around here as Alex and Aaron always seem to make it work, but we've never hiked as high as they ride (we made it ~1/4 way up Mile on the right side as you look up the moutain), so maybe that's a part of it. The main problem we had last year was not enough wind... It'd be anywhere from the kite almost having enough power, to nothing. Maybe this year?

Snowkite Soldier is a new kite lodge located in Hill City, Idaho. Area has so much to offer. Lots of backcountry exploration and many mountains to climb. Everything from mole hill/flats to hair ball peaks. I'm toying with the idea of putting together some shuttles this winter from Hood to my lodge. All are welcome.

How close is this to Moscow? I have a lot of friends that go to U of I and WSU...that'd be killer to get in a few weekends of partying AND snowkiting Twisted Evil

Not close as far as the roads are concerned. Funny you mention Moscow. Just decided to put on a college clinic up there in Febuary. Great college town with nothing but wind and snow.

I read about that lodge in KB magazine. Sounds pretty cool to me!! HOw much just for lodging/food. We all have gear and most won't need lessons.

A shuttle would be super cool and I'm sure you could get a group of guys here to commit to a weekend.

Smile

Similar experience:

Zero for two tries last year at timberline (strange it was reading 20 mph at the top of Palmer - but was dead calm by the time JK and I got there - did score a free snowcat ride Thumb's Up - nice.

Zero for two at Bachelor (made snow angels in Dutchman flat - wheee)

and Zero for 1 at St. Helens - Did skin up for two hours and get some nice turns.

Seems like spring? is the time - and then you can kite on the water.

For sure John... we can still kite now though. Just need small kites and a drysuit! I'm down.
