ok, i know we've beat this dead horse silly, but I can't remember.
on a S or SW wind, I want to be on the North Jetty?
This weekend looks do-able....if I can get in around the Gail wind warnings...
Can someone give me a little info? |

don't overthink the jetty think. you ride the downwide side of the jetty because otherwise a giant rock wall will be downwind of you!!
so yah N side of jetty on S wind, S side of Jetty on N wind.... |

the weather service really covers their ass in the winter by overstating the possibilities. Usually south wind days are enjoyable. that being said a huge gust could come by and kill you. Enjoy, I usually try to stay really close when the dark bands start getting close. Usually they don't change the wind much but you can't be too safe . Lots more logs floating during floods, they will be roamin, as well as ,the beached summer resident logs. Tough to stay upwind sometimes when the outside is guarded by monster swells. Its fun getting dressed in the rain. |
