from a friend of a friend... thought it was worth sharing.

-------------------
Something of a joke,

I invented a surftrainer for at home. When I got back from France I thouht it would be possible to make a surftrainer to improve the standup.

So I shaped a wooden plate exactly like my surfboard and mounted it on 2 springs from a car suspension. The springs I welded on an H-shaped metal platform for stability.

The crazy thing is that it works pretty well. I had to lift the rear using some wooden blocks but now it's working good. The springs make your balance tricky and simulate the water better than I expected.

I hope you don't laugh yourself to death with this stupid Idea. But I know one thing. It works and I can't wait to go back and catch some big ones.

See ya later, with more stupid inventions.

Maybe I replace the rear spring by an airsrping driven by a sequential electrical engine. I can send a programme trough a computer to the engine and really simulalte the movement of a wave. Maybe next spring I'll try that.

They have mechanical bulls.

Why not a mechanical surf board?

Set it up in a bar, get some people
drunk and then let them have a go.

Entertainment!

The actually have those already. I played in once in a video arcade. The board tilited on 3 axis and you rode the waves on a big video screen.

Now if the could only surround you with a bunch of moody assholes with scowls on their face acting like the own the fucking ocean it would be even more like surfing!

Confused
