Don't think I have enough time for a full downwinder but I'll be out there! Last I heard Dalton had a sandbar of its own, so maybe just rig and ride there.

Is Daltons a little mellower than Rooster - just wondered why you would ride there except to start a downwinder?

actually the wind at RR is usually better in my experience... but depending on the water level and wind there can be some killer flat water riding up above Rooster/below Dalton.

Hey, I'm stuck in Amsterdam. Evil or Very Mad Washougal is probably perfect about now. Tell me this will still be blowing on Thursday, assuming I can get home by then...
To add insult to injury conditions looked perfect here today too. Of course I have no gear with me because I wasn't supposed to be here very long!!!

checked out just below dalton then lower rooster... pretty much nuked beyond being rideable at both spots. Rooster especially... struggled to hold onto my 7m.

too bad I wanted to get a good ride on my new kite... I will say the 07 waroo holds it shape like a C kite even when fully depowered in overpowering wind... stays together much better than last year.

Phil,

The 07 Waroo, is it much heavier than last years? Just wondering if the 9 and 12 will fly as well as the 06 in light wind...

not sure on that one yet... I haven't had a chance to try it in lightwind, my gut tells me they sacraficed a little bit of low end for way more strength and high end... but I really don't know yet.

I compared the 7m from 07 and 06 and the weight was about the same at 6lbs. The 07 7m is slightly smaller.
