So I think it is time to change the lines out on a couple kites.

So far I have found Q-power, Q-power pro, and Fire wire.

I know the old Q-power was pretty stiff stuff that tended to like to get tangled.

Anyone have any suggestions on line choice? I'm probably going to buy a bulk spool of 500'.

Thanks!!

I tried to find bulk fire wire and came up empty Crying or Very sad . A 500' spool of qpower pro is $119. They wanted $129 for a set of 27meter firewire lines.

Pah..lease.

haven't had any trouble with Best lines, much less stretch than the windwing lines I had last year and seem a bit thinner. Having colors is nice though I do wish they were 4 color instead of 2.

500' spool of q-line sounds like a lot, but your still only going to get 1 set 27m of lines and maybe 2 backups. Also q-line is real hard to cut with a hook knife in case your ever in a tough spot.

e-mail Kent at customerservice@awindofchange.com

He sells color custom sets of Q-power lines; Orange and yellow TE with white LE. I have sets of 20, 10, 7, and 5m that I use for different winds, waters, lands, kites and boards. Gives me alot more flexibility on riding.

Anyone know what those lines are that Ruben has (red/blue sets)? Wink

I asked him and he just said they were super tough, but I like them too 'cause you don't have to run dacron sleeves at the ends... CLEAN!
