Surfing, and Kiting with Vari and Wilson. Check out Vari's Link getting completely munched. Wonder how it survived!

At first I thought the "who the heck is this guy" headline referred to the kite in the background. Very Happy

You can see the freakin reef right there -- looks like it's just a few feet deep. I'd be wearing a full chainmail suit.

Wow - nice to see that on Surfline. I wonder if the 'ditched' kite was intentional. - C

Don't you love how Surfline uses the term "kite strings" ? Makes the equipment sound like some cheap Walmart toy. As a comparison, I like the term "waterscooter" instead of "ski" or PWC. I'm probably letting this irritate me too much.

At least this exposure shows that the surf media is finally recognizing the legitimacy of kitesurfing into truly epic barrels. Heck, they've touted PWC assisted tow-ins as "surfing" for over a decade now. Tell me, which takes more skill, doesn't burn fuel, make noise, or cause pollution?
