Apparently mother nature doesn't care that I've been dreaming about Baja all summer and keeps throwing hurricane after hurricane at the little place. Does anyone know if La Ventana is still standing, or better yet, how those homie palapas at YoYo's campground are doing?
Crazy weather, I hope it leads to a great swell and epic kiting this winter!

hi Shannon,
I just talked to Kirk from Captain Kirk's last week and he said most of the damage was superficial. He believes all will be back to normal by mid Nov at the latest. He did say however that the Palapa place was hit the hardest so you may want to contact them direct. However, again, I believe the fix is easy for Palapas:-)
I'm heading there too in Feb for the first time. Can't wait although in California, we have year round kiting for the most part.....my favorite place is just 5 minutes from my house! |
