One sled, two kiters. Forecast, 5-9 out of the west. Snow conditions, who the fuck knows, lets just go

Buy a sled, buy a GPS, go snow kiting. If anyone needs the GPS track to load into Google earth, or on your own Garmin, it's here: http://www.nwkite.com/downloads/Track_Indian_Rock.gpx

Super easy approach, here is a craigslist search, a $1,000 would make it up there.

Finger is doing just fine, I even did some unhooking off a little jump we built out of a tree well.

Luke skins it, but he has gigantic balls filled with energy. It was 5 miles as the crow flies.

Well done fellas- what are the directions to the parking lot and I'll skin in.
Seriously, I am keen, geared up and willing to shed some sweat to make that happen.
Nice photos too -are those the new gopro?

This place is exposed to all wind directions, and it's at 5600 feet... Using the 500-1000 millibar forecast charts, you'll likely never get skunked.

AKkiter, Download Google Earth, and download the GPX file I posted above. That will provide you with all the location's information. The GPS track starts where I parked, but you have to park where the snow starts and that might vary depending on the last storm.

Yea, more sled needed to get to Plains, but if it isn't windy, St Helens is way more fun for sled necking.

It was an epic day. Left town at 11, kited our asses off, and back by dinner. Hell yeah. Thanks again for taking me along. Now to start the hunt for a sled...

I passed at least a half dozen sleds for sale on my way home today.

I bought a 97 skidoo summit 670 that was well maitained, fresh weisco's, pipes, union bay head, flexiski's.....15 years old but it still ripps and climbs like a champ

1000 bucks

Been busy took her up to the plains about a week ago, everything seemed to work fine. It was a weekday, no wind, and not a soul up on the plains, little spooky when you are by yourself on a new to me sled. Bought it from a friend of a friend so I had faith.

Probably gonna head up to st helens tomorrow
