Hey all - just thought I'd give you a quick update on what's in store for the next couple of months, its big news!:
2006 nwkite.com Best Photo / Video Contest - Sponsored by Slingshot
As Flavor Flav would say "Yeah that's right." Slingshot is going to be the exclusive sponsor for this year's photo contest. That means killer Slingshot schwag/gear is on the table for winners! The contest will begin officially at the beginning of November and end December 31st. After that submissions will be frozen. Then we'll vote on winners until the partay...
Winter nwkite.com Party / Photo & Video Award Ceremony - date pending (early/mid January)
We're going to rent a room at a bar and do it up right. Location and exact date is still pending, but the goal is to have:
- huge projector / music system
- food / drinks / alcohol
- minors allowed
- schweet local kiting videos all night
- photo / video winners presented with prizes from Slingshot
There are a few places we are considering for holding, and if you have suggestions please send them.
That's it for now, now go out and get some late season photos and video footage! Your going to want it when the contest begins. |

Sounds great PKH - Couple of questions:
1) Are there categories for pro/ amateur?
2) Who is judging?
3) Any rules on when the photo was taken or where?

The format will follow the same as last year, except we'll have a video category. I was thinking about a Best Wipeout / Wacky photo category too.
For photos there will be separate categories for Pros/Amateurs, and Action/Landscape. Photos should be from the Pacific Northwest only.
I will post 6 finalists in each category and then we all vote on the winners.
