So sad and uncool. The vessel number and your statement would have hung them.
On Maui at Kitebeach, if you cant find your stuff, you can usually buy it back from the bums the next morning at a small price, and that is actually a good thing. _________________ Ozone Reo's. C&k Beach Boy Service, Windsurfing Waikiki, Hawaiian Windriders, NSRN. |

I just wanted to say a similar thing happened to me. The wind died at Rooster last fall, I started to swim in when somehow my leash disconnected, I made a judgement call and decided in the cold water to get myself to shore. My kite magically ended up on the shore directly across from Rooster. My boyfriend came with his kayak and did a quick paddle over there. I had the binoculars on him. He was close to shore and the kite went missing. There were a couple fishermen over there, when he got there one was lurking and asked about the price of this yellow kite. He told him and he said they had seen it and did not know what had happened to it. Long story short we did call the police, tracked down a friend of the guy who acted shady, had a couple random texts come thru and never had the kite returned. I kept looking at craigslist and then there was a posting that someone was trying to find the owner or if no response was going to sell it. I tried to contact them no response. Fyi, if you see a yellow 2011 rpm for sale with bar, no bag, it would be sweet to give me the heads up. Thanks LM |
