Just got back from a killer midwest Demo tour. Twisted Evil Got to check out Grand Heaven and the comp that was being held there. "King of the Great Lakes". Went to Detriot, Chicago, Madison, and Minneapolis. Did most of my kitin in Minneapolis and the lakes that surround the Twin Cities. But had a killer time in Grand Heaven, super clean area with blue water and white sand.

Hit up White Bear, Waconia, and a bonus round at a mystery spot. LOL All in all it was a great time and the People are cool and the ladies are "fine&dirty"... Twisted Evil

I have enclose some pics of the areas I've been and the places I kited'.

Here for your enjoyment.

Hey Shy, it was a blast having you in town with all the new toys to play on. The wind in Minneapolis was going strong all weekend giving people ample time to demo the Link. That thing is just buttery smooth…very nice kite. I’ll be getting my grubby little hands on one this year somehow. Take care.

Next time your there, cross the ambassador bridge & check out the Canadian launches on Lake St. Clair, Lake Eire and the MAC daddy Kettle Pt (lake Huron) for big Waves. .

You have 360 degrees access to the wind!!!

Yup

Wac, Ramsey are fun and close to town
Lots more lake to choose from though.

Malmo and Reddy are a ton more fun with the swell that develops
just a little drive north.

Here is how to keep up on the Minnesotans
http://www.windancing.com/phpBB/

They are planning a big trip to Padre this fall.

I spent a year back home and learned to snow kite there.
Great bunch of folks really stoked about kiting.

I kited in just about zero wind with ice skates and a 20M.
Just get going fast enough on your skates and the
apparent wind keeps the kite in the air.

Couldnt slow down too much in a turn or the kite would drop.

The guys nuke during the winter.
Their GPS's can read into the upper 50mph range

Ahh yesss, White Castle. I grew up in Chicago and used to eat there. People out west had no clue as to what the Beastie Boys were rapping about when they used to talk about White Castle. Everyone would call their burgers "sliders", because of the way they went right thru you quickly.
