I just got this pump with a new LF kite. I've only used it once to pump the kite up in the yard but if your issue is more around your handle stroke length, you might check this out. I was able to stand in a much more comfortable position while pumping up the kite.

It is your standard 18'' pump from handle top to base but it has an extension added to the handle so you don't have to bend over as far when pumping.

I think if I want this pump to last awhile, I'll have to be gentler with it then a standard pump but it does make for a much more leisurely fill.

If pumping your kite is too much, how much do you really need to be out on the water in the first place?

Here's a pic of something that might also make your kiting much more comfortable and provide less strain on your fragile vagina. Just throw a couple of 135 lunacy's on this bad boy and it's ready to go. You can use it on the water and also touring your local walmart for fried twinkies and bariatric butt floss:

Sea eagle makes some pretty impressive pumps. I recently bought the SUP pump from a friend, works great.

$49.00 And they're $13.00 at Walmart?! Whatever.
Isn't one of our priorities to get some exercise?
Somebody should start up a cottage industry at the Event Site: Pump Your Kite $5

Of course, if I could just talk to her (in the bathing suit, not the value shopper) for 5 minutes it would be priceless.

Hi,

I googled tall kiteboard pump and found this thread. Here's some images and info on a 24" pump. This new pump is simply just bigger than the standard 18-20" and comes with nozzles to make it compatible with every brand of kite on the market. More info at www.wmfg.co

Big Winds and Windance have them in Hood River.

Any questions info@wmfg.co

Thanks

I also make my own.

Down river equipment and NRS brand of the same style work great.

Its the way to go.

Those big raft pumps do need to have the O ring greased. They also need to be kept clean on the inside. I mostly use coconut oil. Takes less than 5 min. I think the smaller diameter is fine. Its totally worth the price. Best value is prolly the Down River Equipment version.

Shitty pumps are like shitty beer, life is just to short to put up with that shit ...

I picked up one of these: http://greenwatersports.com/shop/red-paddle-co-titan-pump

Makes pumping up a couple of big inflatable SUPs bearable, and makes short work of a 17m Turbine. I made a hose out of silicone tubing which flows better--and is more durable I think-- than the corrugated tubing that comes with pumps. You need a custom hose with this pump anyway as it only comes with an SUP fitting. The fitting at the pump is a screw on type common to other SUP pumps.

Combined with the new rapid inflate valves on Slingshot (and other brands too...) it cuts the effort involved by a huge margin. My CO2 cartridges will be relegated to just pumping up kites off the boat. (Pretty hard to use any manual pump when the beach is under a foot of water...)
