Great idea to run a post on this. Thanks! We have two people definitely in and we are looking for two more.

1. Very Happy
2. Cool
3.
4.

If I correctly understand the way this works, you can enter your own credit card info directly at the Mt Hood site. All we need is first and last names in order to get the discount. Then the organizer distributes a group code and everyone logs on and buys their pass individually.

Only three weeks left at the $400 price!

hey im totally new to this snow kite thing, i dont really know anyone thats into it so havent tried it myself. the snow kite vids i have seen make it look like 10x harder than on the columbia? i see you guys do it at meadows? ive snowboarded their for maybe 3 out of the last 5 seasons and havent seen any one. do you guys have some certain spots near the resort? oh yea and what kind of gear do you need? I have a burton T6 159 and a forum recon 161. and 10, 14, 17m kites i use on the river. would any of this work? oh yea last question, is the 4x4 thing you guys are talkin about mean just 4 peeps in a group? aight

There is no snowkiting at Meadows. Someone was talking about riding up off of Vista once chairs were closed for the season. In my opinion, the kiting sucks on Hood. I've rode on the T- Line side of the mtn, and the terrain leaves more to be desired. Better bets are St. Helens, or hopping in a car & going to Montana (approx 9 hrs), Idaho, or Utah.

Ride the snowboard you've got and use the same kites. Flow style bindings are pretty helpful.

My group is complete. Wakeup: there is someone still looking out there who was originally going to be in our group and I suggested he log on and contact you directly. Good luck!

Off topic like always... but that was JP and me that kited up on Vista, and it WAS during their normal operating season, just after hours. Wasn't that great so I wouldn't recommend it, and the hike is tiring enough in itself. Confused

Then as far as gear. I'm no expert when it comes to snowkiting, but a normal board like your T6 should do you just fine. I'm on my old Palmer Honeycircle 152 still and it's okay... My harness (small) is definately pushing it when I put it over my jacket, but it works. Still need to find a pump that does well at cold temps. They fuck up real fast when it's down in the 20's... Oh yea, and some colored lines (my factory SS ones are super hard to see) would be nice! Wink
