Saw this on Kiteforum:

The results of the SBC Kiteboard Magazine industry survey are in.

And the number is:

Total number of kites sold for the 2006 model year: 114,465

Number of SLE/Bow/Hybrid kites sold for the 2006 model year: 77,836

So only 32% of all kites sold in 2006 are C's and the figures will surely drop for 2007 when the remaining sector of the kiteboarding market cottons on that the C is dead.

Lumping hybrids in with the rest of the flat kites might confuse things a bit. I think some hybrids might be closer to C's than others.

I hope C kites are like VHS tapes, you can still buy them and are dirt cheep.
