While in Africa we climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. Kili is the highest peak in Africa. This took six days of climbing. From gate to gate a total of 46 miles was hiked. We started at 6000' and made it to the top 19,340'. Higher than Everest base camp! Our first camp was higher than Mt. St. Helens. Our second higher than Mt. Hood. Our third higher than Mt Rainer.
Final ascent took 11 hours. Temp at top was -20 
Yes it was a bitch!!
