Hey here's a graphic I came up with awhile back to help newbs get their lines tuned. All kites are different, but the main things you want to look for is flaring tips (means too much rear line pressure) or fully slack rear lines (means too little pressure.)

In the graphic the left side is how the kite handles and the right side is where the kite is in the window. Top is too long front lines, bottom is too short front lines. You want to try to get your kite/lines setup so your depower range falls in the green/blue zones.

hey no prob jim! thanks!

One thing not to cause confusion the graphic is definitely not to scale in any sense! Also your kite may and probably will vary!

The best place to start with your lines is with all lines equal with the chicken loop resting against bar and depower strap all the way out (longest front lines possible.) From there you will probably want to change things based on your kite, length of trim line, and riding style.

Laters!
