Theo,
We were walking our dog on the sandbar when my 17 year old son saw you go down. We knew it was hard crash. I went to offer whatever help I could when I saw Ashleigh and Patrick pulling you up on to the dance floor. I was grateful to find that you were alive and quickly knew you were in very good hands with Ashleigh there. I am a retired RN with 25 years of critical care and I am a MOM of a boy your age. It was easy to assess that if I was your Mom/family I would be AOK with how the difficult situation was unfolding with Ashleigh in control. Good decisions were made at important times.
I was so impressed by who you were. Your spirit, bravery, politeness (yes really) and composure. You are a remarkable young man that was easy to tell.
I have not been at all surprised by the number of positive thoughts being sent your way. I have a feeling it is just all your goodness coming back to you. I know this is certainly not a place you want to be right now but I know you can dig deep.
I saw that first hand. Keep up the good work, the hard work.

All the support and prayer is working!!

Yesterday, Theo started rotating his right forearm. Today he can feel his left leg from knee to heel!

Thanks everyone for the positive words and messages! I went to visit Theo today at OHSU and got to meet Theo's dad from Germany, Daniel. These are really awesome people! All of these messages, cards, fundraisers, and everything that the community is doing has truly been helping Theo keep his spirits high. I was amazed at how positive he was and how much he was smiling despite everything that has happened. Something as a small as writing a quick message here or sending along a little note to the hospital has truly made a difference. Its awesome, good job everyone Smile

Woke up today to read this WoNDERFUL news..!!! Hearing this has brought major sunlight into my day !!

Everyday i think of you Theo .. + I talk to the nature forces in life.. i am always saying to them... please send all the positive vibes + energy's to help Theo heal!!

Theo, I've never met you, but hearing your story I've thought of you every day and every time I head for the sandbar... Its so good to hear you are doing better... remember, you are young and your body is strong. Stay strong in your heart & mind... see yourself in a happy future and I believe you will one day be there. I believe one day I will see you... someone will say "that guy, kiting out there... that's Theo..." its just a journey, take it one step at a time. We're all pulling for you. Keep going bro!

Today Theo moved his left arm!!!! All the support is making a huge difference. I went to visit Theo with Sky and in the rudimentary way that we could communicate with Theo through his eyes and alphabet board that Levi built, the energy and graciousness was profound and it was clear that it was way beyond our visit. It extended to everyone sending positive energy and love. So keep it coming!

He says that he really enjoyed his time in Hood River before the injury, and that he can't wait to come back!
