As far as the cams used on that vid... all the stuff from the intro (in JP's car, and at South Jetty) was filmed with a cheap little Canon ZR-90. The footage from Rufus (on tripod, not that it matters) and Lyle was shot with a 3CCD Sony PD-150. Big difference in quality, but then again Canon vid cams suck (minus the XL's)!!!
