So to those of you I have never met. I was the guy swiming his kite in about 7 when the wind died. Got to practice a little self rescue so it wasn't all that bad.

I didn't know you were an instructor?!?!? Thats the besst way to RUIN a relationship with a woman, try to teach her ANY sport, let alone Kiteboarding!!!

i've taken lessons, drug all over the columbia, have a trainer (and a 3.6m tractionn kite), landboarded downwind. I really want to get in the water on a board. Because of the good pricing, I have been looking at the 05 element 12m as a first full size kite, and was thinking sunset beach would be a good place to earn my wings.

does this sound right?

what wind range/kite size should I look for the coastal winds? (I'm about 140ish, 5'5").
thanks!

do you guys care if there's a first timer (on the water) out there?

ps...great site so far...can't believe it took me this long to find it.

Due to somewhat difficult parking Shocked I parked behind some friends at the nudie beach and was forced to launch and ride out weaving through a sea of middle aged schlongs and drooping fun bags.

Although I did have quite the cheering section for big boosts and my first unhooked raileys, I couldn't manage to parlay that attention into phone numbers of any of the numerous hotties wandering the beaches.
Sad

The wind sure was sweet though! I was absolutely lit on my 16!
