| Nothing is set in stone, the CGKA is talking about it, but I don't know if it will happen this summer. Unfortunatly events take planning, permits, insurance, etc, all of which takes time, and the CGKA was just revamped last month. |

can't you just have the no name/no organization kite blow out for bragging rights only. Put a few messages on this forum, the seattle one and round the stores in HR. Give someone on the shore at Stevenson a flare to fire off at 1pm the next day it's forecast to be over 15 kts at stevenson and the event site. No support, bring your own or your thumb for hitching if you have to bail en route.
Most people probably see this forum or the other forum or have a mate who can tell 'em what's going on - and if they don't know or don't show oh well!!!!

- There is the idea that you could stash a case of beer down at the Spit, and have an anonymous/informal notice on NW Kiteforum and NW Kitetalk declaring that the first kiter to reach the spit after leaving Stevenson at approximately 10am (on such day) wins the case of beer.
I'm sure we could round up a case of Kokanee as sponsorship for this via a certain individual hooked up with Kokanee.
Just a thought, but you didn't hear it from me
