Harsh dewd. Our CGKA president in 2000 was a go-getter...
Not to mention, some of us had full time jobs as electricians...

So anywho, hats off to Mark, Pepi, Forrest, Nicole, Steve, Adam for putting in the effort! Having another viable launch is always a good thing. Always. |

Trying to get a discussion going about revisiting Bingen.
With the demise of the Wunderbar, a reinvigorated launch on the Washington side could be a nice thing.
And, because this is some classic nw kite shit!

Congrats for the effort to revive Bingen. We moved alot of brush and built two rock steps going down to sand triangle near big rocks in the water. East end. From looking at Google, some of the non native brush has regrown. Take a walk to that end and see how hard it would be to repair steps. We were standing on sand triangle (near large rock) and having people launch our kites from the bluff. You could also launch and walk down either of the stairs ( one on each side of point).
Been watching it for 9 years and it's never very busy. Plenty of room for everyone.

Talked to Bart at CGW2 this morning. Bingen will rise again!
Watch for further developments.
And join the CGW2. It’s our organization for improving and increasing river access.
How about a new launch between Doug’s and Doug’s west? In the works!
