Sun Jul 09, 06 7:44 am Wind in Portland? |

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a place close to or in Portland where I can fly my trainer kite. The gorge is wonderful but driving 1 1/2 hours to fly my kite seems a bit wasteful. All the schools/fields around my house ( SE Portland ) suck - powerlines, windbreaks, baseball fences, etc.) |

I used to go to marine drive right by the airport. You can park on the south side of the road and cross to the river. Broghton Park or something like that. You can check the sensor to PDX. It was up a lot in the winter dunno how often it blows there now. Rooster rock or Sauvies are also close. |
