I was so beat yesterday, but the 100 degree temps had me wanting some water time. So I headed to Sauvies.

It was awesome! Many of us just rode in shorts which felt great. Wind was solid 12-14m towards the end of the evening. It was one of the nights that makes Sauvies worth all the crappy nights.

Today may be more of the same but my body just can't take any more. I think I have been kiting for about 12 days straight now. Time for a break. Confused

I hope I hope I hope.

But then again, I have a stupid ass retarded public hearing to go to in Camas, WA at 4:00.

I'm thinking it will probably go though. It's sooo hot, the portland heat island has got to turn on.

Besides, the Ikitesuck.com prediction has been wrong the last 5 days in a row, why stop now. LOL

i'm with you pkh. three days straight has left my hands blistered and raw and my arms completely shot. not to mention i had my fair share of wipeouts last night so the body is not operating properly.

but it is tempting to roll the dice. i think jones would have been the call today though.

We’ll see?? It’s a little slow to get flowing today, but the gradient is definitely there.

PDX Monkey Boy, be advised that the graphical iKitesurf forecast is a computer generated model and is not reviewed by the illustrious iKS staff and is almost never right on, but sometimes close. However; if you look at the Western Gorge text forecast they are forecasting on SI, Jones & the Coast now (but still not adjusting the graph forecast)... Thumb's Up

Perhaps a few more emails from members would do the trick?

Agree that Jones or Stevenson are the best bets for those departing from the PDX area. Kite ON!! ~D

hmmm, looks a little west.. just as ikite had predicted. Should I try to weasel out of my public hearing?

Magic 8-ball, should I skip out on my proffesional obligations in order to go kitesurfing for the 5th time in 6 days?

PS Onad, were you the guy on the skim board on sunday?

Stevenson went hard well into the evening. Rode the 9 shockwave. How did Sauvie end up?

Don't know about north end of SI but south towards Frenchmans it was excellent. Out from 5:30 til just after 7 on my 14 it was great, plenty of wind and not very gusty.

MMM - Sauvies wasn't that good. A hand full of kites on the water underpowered to just powered for short periods. I tossed up a 12 waroo @ 6:00 and kept up for 45 min. Wind died, and came up again slightly @ 7:45. Where is Frenchman's? I heard there is a beach between St. Hellens and Ranier that might work - is this it. Anyway - heading to Stevenson or the coast today. See ya there. - C

No offense but please don't rig a 12m at SI and then say "it wasn't that good".

Slither - 12m flat kite. Others out on 17m kites - underpowered. Wind gusty - it wasn't that good. Going to the coast today?
