I am going to be up on Whidbey Island this weekend. Anyone know about wind conditions there or a site that might have some info? |

You mentioned that you are new to kiteboarding in your other post so I'm not sure that you would find many options on Whidbey that would agree with you. It's usually more of a spot for southerlies anyway and if there is wind up here this weekend, it should be coming from the north. Jetty Island is near by and is probably one of the best places in the Northwest for learning to kite. If you need more info check out these sites.

eljayo is correct on the kiting destination up here. I would suggest making time for Jetty Island. It is currently blowing and will for the next weekend. Last night it blew good enough for a 10m. Typically Jetty is a steady 16m conditions. Whidbey has some choice spots but really are more appropriate for southerlies. If planning on going to Jetty, you will need to resolve boat transportation. Plenty of folks with inflatable kayaks and boats so you can always find a ride. Urban Surf sponsors a courtesy shuttle that runs sometimes in the afternoon. It is the best solution to getting off the island at the end of the evening.
