Day two in Rome.. Got an early start and made it the Vaticano & Pantheon.

Decided to scout out Ostia, it’s closer
Big mistake!
I have never seen beaches so crowded.
Nothing but Banana hammocks & boobs arm to arm.
I could barely see sand.
Shit, I’m think’n …really screwed the pooch as I walk and walk dragging my gear which of course prompted a couple of interesting comments
I told them we Canadians always take our Golf Clubs to the beach for a roll, don’t you?
Fucked.. walked 15 miles this morning to now find myself slogging down the beach with gear in tow.. wait.. a kite… now I running.. gear in tow
Turned out to be a private sailing club whose members also windsurf & kite.
Get to the beach.. I can see sand.. Room to launch.. Things are looking up.. Cool
Until security comes yelling at me.

Turns out Lallo the owner of the kiteschool saw the ruckus & came over..
Yup, not a lick of English out of this one either.. shit…

Rode silly lit up (a.k.a lit 12m) on the 16m Octane for 3 hours with 3 meter wind waves building toward the end.
Oh, so some ~30 kiters show up.
Spit is half to half .. get I introduced to the club.. life is good.
Off to thecabana & the partying begins…
