I assume you're running it on full manual, right? And by settings, are you just talking about F, exp., etc, or more? Gotta love the digi SLRs!

I'm working on the iso and shutter speed. Any recommendations? I think I need to use faster shutter speeds to freeze the action on the water. I have been getting a lot of blurry images when riders go into maneuvers rolls, passes, etc.?

As far as shutter speed goes, a rule of thumb is min shutter speed for the focal length, 200mm lens at 1/250 sec for hand held. This does not take into account action sports like kiting. I have been at 1/500 to 1/2000 and had some luck. I'd like to hear what others are using? I just switched to digital from a fully manual Nikon FM, so this auto stuff is taking some getting used to.
