shred_da_gorge -
They are very affordable, look me up if you wish to ride it. Super lofty in the air and silky smooth with grip on the water. (one shown is a 145 x 45cm)

I got to test ride the new “Mako Woodie” and is she ever sweet!! Smoothest riding board I’ve ever been on and I have 2 season’s riding the Mako 150! It’s like riding on a surface of teflon. Edging is positive and upwind is no problem. Transitions effortlessly. Can’t wait to try the different fin set up’s that John has available. (Waiting for their arrival.) Yeah, what a bummer not having to tack or jibe….but carve all day long and can’t stop smiling!! Great job John! Wait ‘till you see what he’s doing next guys!

Hey John,
I'd definitely love to test ride them. Since I moved to California I'm closer to coastal waters and interested in a directional. I've seen some used/closeout ones as cheap as $300. What kind of costs are involved in a wooden one? I may get a cheap used one for now to get used to what I'd want you to build for me (plus I need a job ;).
The wooden Mako seems pretty straightforward. Dave Nunn convinced me to demo a 140 but I was underwhelmed, probably because I was underpowered though (crappy day). It actually seemed to me worse on my knees than my SX in the chop, but jumped nicely, but then again not sure it was a fair comparison. What would an OR clone cost? They won't give you trouble for copying their design, would/could they??
Also I have a box of some different weights of glass in my garage, having done some experiments with windsurf boards back in the day. You're welcome to them.
I'm the tall guy that drooled over your directionals at the Event Site earlier this summer. My name is Pete MacKay and I was living in Hood River for a decade until recently. If you don't mind, send me your number and I'll try to catch up with you. This may be a short trip for my buddy's wedding, though, but hopefully I'll run into you on the water (well, on the beach, not literally on the water!).
Cheers!
