Wed May 17, 06 12:06 pm Sauvie prediction looks good for today..... |

West side heating up and Gorge gradients are weakening.
West side temperatures are rising and pressure are falling which has eroded the early morning westerly gradient in The Gorge. This trend should level out and slowly reverse this afternoon for some west wind. Coast Range gradients should increase this afternoon for Jones Beach. Low clouds hanging on along the South Coast but the rest of the coast is clear and should allow sea breezes to develop.
• Sauvies Island should hit the 10-14 range this afternoon.
• North Coast sites reach NW 16-20 late afternoon. Central Coast sites NW 20-24. Florence NW 20-24. South Coast sites should be lighter with low clouds inhibiting the sea breeze. SW swell 5 feet at 12 seconds.
Somehow I don't believe it though..any thoughts?
