Awesome! Where exactly is Lake Flores located? I assume you're not talking about Floras, correct?

DUDE, I was just asking you, so don't start talking shit... Read it carefully, I wasn't trying to come off like a smart ass, and was just double checking because you spelled it that way twice. Do a search on here, you'll find plenty of info...

ikite has some information on it too. the oregon coast is windy in the summer but it isn't quite as reliable as some other places (like the gorge). with a 6hour drive i would be flexible- if the forecast looks good the day before then go for it. ikite has decent forecast for the coast (add 10 for the south coast) noa has decent forecast too
http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fmtbltn.pl?file=forecasts/marine/coastal/pz/pzz350.txt

(add 5-10 for noaa)

will brady at floras is a nice guy and gives lessons.

I went to Floras Lake last weekend and took lessons from Will. I thought it was spectacular. Lots of lonely beach there with an awesome lake only seperated from the ocean by some dunes. I think it would be a great place to take the kids. The lake is pretty shallow and flat as well so it seemed a lot easier for learning.

Floras blows pretty consistantly all summer. I'ts a bit gusty and strong but a great place to learn. That's where a bunch of us have paid our dues. The only problem in the summer is the fog. Hard to forecast for that but it usually burns off in the afternoon. Bring your small kites. Here's the link you need.

the south rocks and the lake is a all day fun ticket butter on the lee side hope the winds come north ...the kids will love it there the wind is high cus it rolls over the dunes but youll get uste to it. its shallow so twin tip trickery is doable. good fishing in the eves .great camp ground.....if you like waves the whisky run is just up the road world class down winder a 4 wheel drive is best ,,,,, will and liz live there its worth the drive just to hang with them will has the local knowledge and shares freely he wont even check your spelling.....bring you toys and have fun ....dam now i want to go.......... Very Happy Exclamation

Yeah, I bring my six year old there during the summer and she usually has about five or six kids to run with. Bring a bike or blades for them to goof around with at the camground. Best hot dogs in the world at Langlois and the light house at cape blanco is a great place to bring them.
