Sick board!

It's been fun watching it all come together. I've got a 6'0" swallow tail quad fin and it is the fastest surfboard I've ever riden; never kited with it, but the quad/swallow combo is a winner Thumb's Up

Now somebody needs to build something else.

First day out on the water with the board!

Rufus 20-25 with squalls, not ideal conditions by hey what does one expect this time of year.

I am very pleased Wink

definitely more than art, it's the real deal.

Sweet, John. The wind always blows right after you get a board finished.
Enjoyed the thread. Someday I'm gonna CNC something like that.

There are definitely some structural challenges when making a board like this. I don’t claim to know all by any means; and I bet with more R&D it’ll even be better.

I’ve already started another one Cool

Future's plastic fins? Please tell me they aren't
-you deserve better. I've got some glass JJs that
could be good. You are welcome to try them.

look into ProBox for your next build. More tuning
options and FCS fits so plenty of fins to choose from.
PC3/GL2 combo or some thing like that might be good.

They are developing some lateral play (didn't know they suck that bad); guess I'll have to shim them for now.

Looks like a beautiful board John, I am totally inspired. Would you mind telling me some of the crucial measurements - length and width, relative to your hieght? I'm 5'7 and am thinking of building one like this about 5'10. Whaddya reckon? Did you design the profile yourself?

I’m not new to board building I have quite a bit of experience (on a professional level) and been a boardhead all my life.

My boards (outlines, rocker, profile, fin placement and volume) are totally my own conception with the exception of riding a lot of other boards built by others and or other manufacturers’.

I would strongly suggest to first ride as many other boards as you can; this way you could get a real feel from the feedback, what works for you, and what is best suited for the area you kite at.

I have two boards in the works and a twin in the designing stages at the moment.

I live in the Gorge so the small board is a 5’-1” X 15-3/4” X 1-3/4” fish shape. (quad-fin)
The larger board is designed for most all other places and is 5’-8” X 17-1/4” X 2-1/8” fish shape. (quad-fin) The twin hasn’t been finalized yet but is close….

If I lived at the coast I’d definitely have a Pin-Tail Thruster in the works; that’s on the back burner. Wink

BTW- I’m 5’-6”
