I took a job in Bend and this is my last week at Intel, looking for Bend area Kiteboarders to carpool to Rufus/ Eastern Gorge on weekends and Wickiup and other local lakes on weekdays.

PM me please!

Tim

Hey Tim. You should contact Mike at Kite-line.com. Mike and his "posse" go to Roosevelt/eastern gorge frequently. They are really nice guys.

Hey, just curious, but how far is Rufus from Bend? Never really thought about making that drive before...

The trip to i_84 via hwy 97 is a solid 3 hrs. Add time and miles if you want to go anywhere on the columbia.

Tim: Congrads on the move. Got sick of the long-distance thing huh . . . Bend is awesome except for access to kiting spots on the water. Those cascade lakes may provide some riding, bu tnot much. I guess time will tell.

Cool

Wickiup and Crane Prairie, and sometimes Elk Lake are about the only places in Central Oregon to kite, and the conditions are very inconsistent. You just have to talk to Mike at Kiteline and find out the patterns and conditions, otherwise you'll have to make the trek to the coast or the gorge.
