Finally got a chance to take my Garmin Foretrex 201 out for a session.
Here's a composite jpg of some speed runs with my best 500m run
highlighted.

I was riding my 135x41 with a 7m Fuel in more wind than the graph shows.
Gusts in the upper 20s low 30s I'd guess. I was out in the middle of the
Laguna Madre - basically a downwinder from the North flats to South flats.
There was a 6-8" chop.

Hein,
As I recall you are a slim guy, like maybe 140lbs. The reason I ask is for comparison purposes only. It would be interesting to try the same board with a bigger guy and bigger kite and see if they can squeeze the same speed out of the similar wind conditions. My guess is that there has to be a skill factor involved in the equation. Some of us have better high wind skills, some have better light wind skills, some ride waves and some have a better jump repitoir. I wish I could say that I was good at something....Ok, I am safe does that count?
Thanks for the message and the cool graphics...Attach some picture of you ripping it up down there...We can't wait to get out Summer conditions back here!

~30 mph feels pretty fast but not topped out.
Quite controllable even in the chop. I was riding
unhooked while going left (W) and toeside hooked
in when going right (SE).

Unhooked going left gave faster segments. (28.1 kts)
I found that when a gust hit I could absorb the
power with my arms and body without having
alter board trim. I was riding my board pretty flat
and the acceleration when a gust hit was awesome.
