I think they had just switched over... Beyond that I am stumped at whatever difference he is trying to hint at...

That sounds right. I saw Jessie riding Cabrinha when we were there in December.

Yeah, it's just the brand change - Looks like Bammer wins the pink thong! Dano just called from Molokai, and he said there are great kiting spots with a 3 mile sandy beach! He doesn't have internet access there, so we'll have to wait a couple days for pictures and the low-down. -Tonski

I have spent quite abit of time on Molok`i. THat same beach is knowen for its Puka shells. When I was there we were the only ones on a 3 mile beach. I wish I would have been a kiter then!!

All right gang, this one got a bit larger than I had expected. Didn’t think anyone would actually read the question let alone answer it. I'll come up with a better question if I dare try it again...

Bamer got it. Thumb's Up

That is all, Bam

So Bam, what size thong do you wear? I’ll get it ordered and we can have pkh autograph it at the presentation ceremony (TDB).

Nice try Betty Boarder, I know you really wanted that thong to wear over your wetsuit. Wink

Trip to Molokai’ was short. Only took my 13m & didn’t kite as the storm winds kept cranking 35-40mph for two days on the East side of the island. Sounds like the best way to kite Molokai’ is to do the Challenge Race from Maui to Moloaki' & then run down the East coast as there is very little beach & lot’s of rocks & reef on the East side. Also, the run off from the mountains turns the water inside the reef brown & you can’t see the rocks. I did find a sand spit that was launchable on the East side. “Oh why didn’t I bring the 10m TD??”

The three mile beach is on the West side, but not really kite-able on the NE Trades. You’d need a West or North I would think?? The beach is amazing & there were all of three people on it!

Heading down to Action Beach to play with the weekend warriors. See ya, Nad Cool

Onad-man, you must be feeling Aloha when a missle cruiser starts looking like a ferry.

I'm thinking of starting my own sabbatical. If I just act like its normal maybe no one will notice that its not mentioned in the company handbook.

Not much wind the last few days. It’s been pretty stormy. Been hiking & body boarding at Ho’okipa/Lanes working my way up to the short board & shallow reef break… Confused

Cool pics Dano. Just out of curiousity, do you play with the saturation and levels of your pics? Even with my D70 Digi SLR, I can't get those colors without a little Photoshop... Wink

Just got back from Maui.

Highlights.

Kites visible from the Tarmac.
Touchdown and on the water under an hour.
Swerving to avoid huge turtle.
Swerving to avoid Onad.
Wind gusts setting off car alarms in parking lot.
Warm water.
Alpha predators to keep you on your game.

Some pics.

Awesome pics G-man! I hear no one is even snorkeling at this time of year due to the unusually high shark presence. Did you see any fins while kiting? Shocked

We went snorkeling on the last day - we were debating go or no go - when half a dozen other touristas took the plunge - target rich environment - good odds - though this is about a mile from the last two attacks.

It was super murky until we got about 300 yrds out and then everything cleared up - awesome spot - Ahihi Cove - Sea Turtles, some big bluefin trevally, tons of tropicals. Kara taps me on the shoulder, everyone gone - time in water 18 minutes.

When we got back in a big pod of whales swam through about a half mile out.

Fun trip.
