| I'm not the only one who used to call it opposite. At some point about 1996, it seems like the skateboard magazines switched it all up.

Actually, I ain't doing anything worthy of the front-board title.
You have to land into the frontboard, not pull yourself into it with the handle like I'm doing here. I expect you bastards to call me out too.

Who would've thunk that that grinch would be so educational!!
Not only are we able to practice our skills and learn new ones on the water, but finally we have a consistent way to see each other ride and learn how to call the moves... and how to call out our bro's who might be gettin cred when it ain't all that legit.
Although Forrest.. in a still frame, for those new at this.. that could be a front board.
I'm not even going to try to label this one... but finally took some time last night to put it together...

I get it - the backside of the board is the part in contact with the slider vs toeside which would be a front (booty facing the camera)

Forrest.. if you need shorts for Grinching why didn't you just say something?!
What size boardies are you?
Are you aware that your favorite kite and wake gear manufacturer has also licensed a full line of clothing, including boardshorts?
Designed and made by the same people who do Rusty and Hurley.. the LF shit is legit! You can check it out on the rack at your two top NW Kite sources- 2nd Wind Sports in Hood River and Gorge Performance in Portland!
For more info- surf www.liquidforceclothes.com
Yes.. I am a pimp. Buy Liquid Force, Support local shops and riding communities!! The more you put in the more we can give back!

Its like this,
if the rail is on your front side when approaching, its a front side, hopping onto the rail boardslide with it on your front side causes you to be sliding with your back facing down the rail.
But this switches for lipslides, because if you approach with your front to the rail and then go to front lip, this will cause you to be looking down the rail with your front facing forward making it a front lip.
Its pretty easy when you figure it out. Just matters what side you get on from.
Forrests trick would almost be a back lip to blind. Since it looks like he approached the rail from his heelside edge or back side.

That sounds right Ian. We used to call lip slides, disasters slides. Though, a disaster slide is something completely different I'm sure.
Tekko, I'm a 36 waist if that helps.
