It's hard to make the 2 hour slog for flat water...but seeing that butter makes me wish I'd fired up!

Way to go G!

Nice meeting you Gman. Glad you got a good sesh. I was feeling a little guilty leaving you but it looks like the 11m was perfect.

See you soon.

Tony

Also watch the tides it drains pretty quick on the outgoing - was kiting in about 4 inches of water before I realized it.

I've only found it to be gusty when it's over 30kts... but then most 30kt+ sessions are gusty. It can setup nice on E winds but not always so not a slam dunk.

Just to finish up the thread, yesterday's 30kt+ session had a gust here and there... but frigging cold. Still, I would say for those kind of winds, not as gusty as a comparibly windy gorge day (see readings below).

A couple of other guys and me were out in the mid afternoon. Even w/gloves both of we kiters had to stop after about half and hour due to frozen finger pain. The windsurfer could kite a few reaches, leave his rig on the beach and run to his van to withstand the warm-up burn and cry in privacy. He'd go back out and do it again.

It was too cold brothas & sistas. Landing and launching your kite every 20 min in nuclear freezing wind so you could writhe in pain wasn't to my liking. I'll wait for the high 40's or 50 degrees next time.
