Here's a few photos from our Los Barrilles/La Ventana trip 2/1-2/6. A short trip, wish there were some more photos... but with 5 out a 6 windy days, there wasn't much time!

1/31-2/1 Los Barrilles North Beach camping (20m and 16m sailing). Martin Verdugo's restaurant was great for cheap and tasty breakfasts... nice little hotel w/pool too.

2/2-2/6 La Ventana - New Wind camping (due to our short stay, we made the most of the quivers usually firing up the 20's or 16's early and moving onto smaller kites for the afternoon blow out... we were the exception though with most seasoned junkies waiting for the afternoon or poking around the town, biking, jonesing, whatever).

Flying into San Jose del Cabo with camp gear, renting a car and setting up in these East Cape locations was a snap. We travelled real light and stayed acceptably comfortable the whole trip. Not sure I would want to be on North Beach in LB for a week or more with the backpacking setup (no showers, banos, etc.) but it's great for a few days.

New Wind's compound in LV, however, is a great way to enjoy the place. Good company, good advice, and community facilities (compressor, full kitchen, showers, hangout areas, etc.). Special thanks to the clockwork dogs (3am), roosters (5am), and flitting little birds (7am) for keeping us honest to a true early morning hangover.

Nice video Jason. Talking with Dano last night and he's still mentally in the land of sun, fun and mex food. He didn't know I took this picture of him last night. It's amazing what a mexican sabbatical will do to a person.

Rollo, you ain’t kidding. The re-compression of my de-compression is taking much longer than expected. 10 kiting days out of 12 in LV really put me in a different space...
