Those are sweet photos!!!!!! When did you go? Was your group mixed with skiers and boarders? I have been wanting to go down there for a long time now, but have been concerned how it would go with a mixed boarder/skier group.

Of course Valdez has better lines, but last time I checked it isn't a tank of gas and a couple of hours away.
While Bailey may be in the Cascades the bottomless fluff and steep, continuous lines are unlike anything else I have rode in the PNW!

Steve
We rode two days and had skiers in our group both days. They didn't slow us down at all, in fact, it was great to have them along for packing out traverses!
J.P.
Oz is indeed running the show and kicking ass in doing so. They dropped $190k on a 2005 snowcat, and he is backed up by several other dudes who know their shit.
Is Crystal tracked out by now? Doesn't look like we are gonna get much snow this week.

NICE!!!
I wouldn't say Crystal’s North or South is tracked out. It surprisingly saw limited traffic on Sat & none to speak of on Sunday, go Seahawks!
Watch Thursday & Friday for new fluff.
The real news is the amounts of snow & how the mt is changing and opening up, for example Screaming Babies (fall line chair line 6) is open (no ropes, no core shots) just lots of screaming!!!

This from our Seattle-area kite bros and sisters who must think we here at nwkite are a bunch of winter quiters. This is a response to someone heckling posters who start fading to other sports when they lose their kite stoke when the water and air get cold. Looks like he was corrected from the yahoo nwkite forum members whose sentiments are "we don't talk about anything but kiting here"...
Quote: | My bad. I must have thought I was still on nwkite.com.
They're a tad more liberal on topics.

Being nwKITE.com, I must admit that this site should probably remain pure to the kiting stoke but hey, this is the NW - we're LIBERAL. Any stoke is good stoke. (pkh, do you mind turning on my BBCode so my quotes work? thx)

I was there, with the pacific high one, on bailey. my intent was scoping some kiting terrain. We found( were directed to for cash) plenty of boarding just not much that looked kitable except for on a lucky day. However one with a snowmobile could shuttle it legally to the tip top on a groomed trail the whole way. And one with enough time and a 12meter may get a ride or two there. However, looking across to crater lake looked promising indeed for some great kiting. Hows that for a tie of Mt. Bailey into nwkite. jeez,go get your stoke oooonnnn!!! nMay we all be blessed soon with warm smooth south winds and nice swells.

barfly - not sure how that got disabled, its back on now
on the whole off topic thing.. IMO if its cool, post! I don't care if its kiting or not. IMO kiteboarders share similar interests outside of kiting and we should share them together online.
This thread is awesome, keep the snow pics coming I say!
