It's official I have no masts, no booms and I'm selling and or just giving my windsurfing stuff away.
I would like to reflect back on the history of this change, or metamorphosis that has led me to this most happy state. I am a kiter now and that is that.
Some background information for you folks just arriving at the NwKite.com. A couple of years ago I was drinking IPA's at FS in HR and I posted some FUD. I was instantly branded an idiot and it has been very challenging for me, and my therapist, to sort out. Needless to say my years in the military prepared me for this type of onslaught. I was 11B Inf. Mech 2nd Bdg. HHC/HHC and my Top told me never to give shit about what people think unless they matter to you. You do the math here and you will quickly figure out that I don't give R's A. what F anyone Thinks. But I do like to read it..
What I decided to do was survey the forum, but that was quickly ridiculed by the monkey and gumby, aka spike, not the one who beat his R&B swingin wife, rather the skinny one who kites a stevenson. The Heinster also openly ridiculed my surveys and this surprised me as he all about science and calculations. Word has it the he has a very big calculator and he knows how to use it with precision.
I went on to argue the benefits of using a leash. This is still a sore spot with me and I tend to think I'm right, but I'm not sure it is a good idea now that I teach. Long story short, the leash topic plus the previous FUD post in my IPA state led to a real PR problem. Oh well.
So, here I am and I'm busy enjoying my summer break at home in Da Gorge and I want to post this because I know that many more bald headed windsurfers in the 40 to 50 demographic will possibly read it and learn some things that will make their metamorphosis more successful.

| I'm not sure who you are but being in the military explains your crazy posts i guess, I think you might of been exposed to agent orange, or maybe depeted uranium.Get some money for it, they are still paying i think. You can buy some new skipping gear and have some real fun.

Ah yes, the "windsurfing is cancelled" post... must be summer. How old is this slogan now? 10 years? Yep... lets all hit the Hatch this weekend cuz there won't be a "poledancer" in sight. Now, could someone follow up with:
-posting that guy getting lofted 300ft.
-post the guy getting his kite caught on the jet plane, and don't forget to say "dudezzzz, its reallllzzzz".
Ah, the sounds of summer!

yep, we have had the noobs and the sandbar thread, the lets make signs thread, and multiple "dude, where is more board threads" Once we get the bridge of the gods and KB4C threads done we can call it a year and start focusing on dawn patrol at rooster.

It's great to hear that you all are getting some therapy.
I just got back from great session at Rufus! Man, work just get's in the way. Today my therapist was a 14. The wind was steady and it was warm. I actually hit a 720.
Work just gets in the way.
Agent orange was circa 1970's right? Depleted uranium is a possibility I guess but not likely. There are plenty of other sources of radio activity in our day to day lives.
Yep I was in the Army, but I'm not crazy.
It's ironic that my posts draw such a wide range of folks. I wonder why somebody would want to ban my posts when they could just have avoid clicking it in the first place.
