Kim, my awesome wife of almost 25 years, has
her B-day today. She is the reason I've been able
to ride the wind for over 30 years.

Happy Birthday, Kim, I Love you!

My daughter, Heather is at school down in Corvallis.
So we want to meet her half way for dinner at a nice
mid-scale family restaurant either downtown or in
SE PDX (along 205) We'll need to be able to have
a glass of wine.

Any recommendations? I like seafood and Thai but
my older daughter won't touch the stuff. Kim and
Kaela are easier to please. We like eating light
wholesome meals. Not much steak and potatoes
even though we both grew up in the central US
beef country.

We are not good at driving around trying to make
a decision.

P.S. We'll be married for a quarter century this fall.
Easy to remember date too. September 11th. Rolling Eyes

Went to Henry's on SW12th & W Burnside this weekend with some friends, It's in downtown PDX. pretty sweet place. Any kind of American food. It's kind of a more formal version of a bar & grill.

Jakes downtown has good seafood and also some menu items for the tots. Reasonably priced, it also has that old school portland feel to it.

Ditto for mccromick and Smitchtz or however you spell it. Also downtown.

Lastly, one of my favorite haunts downtown.. old town pizza. (not exactly going to win you the romantic man of the year award.

Caffe Mingo it is!

Thanks for all the suggestions and congratulations.

Kim made a traditional Dutch Mocha cake that will
knock out your taste buds. Meet use down there
around 8-ish and we'll turn you on to a piece.

We had a great meal at Mingo's.
Kim and I did our best to finish
a bottle of wine. That's the joy
of having a teen driver. Cake was
a good as ever.

Thanks again for the best wishes.

Might try to get out to Rufus
tomorrow and ride the swell
with my windsurfing bros.

And we'll get back to P-town to
try some of the other suggestions.
