Wed Aug 14, 19 7:33 am Iwindsurf? robo forecast? |
|
|
months back, there was a thread on NWkite about iwindsurf and how the meteoroligists were crummy. this summer, i renewed my membership after a decade break, and this morning woke up to a 7a.m. forecast saying...
"Gradients are pretty flat this morning"
and
"Stevenson slow start and could see some easterlies for a short time"
while the actuals showed .07 W pressure, Stevenson blowing 8mph west, the whole gorge blowing light west.
are they writing these up once a week and sticking with the script? |

Earlier this summer, after missing the forecast by a mile, one of the forecasters suggested that El Nino was to blame. So perhaps the forecasts were prepared a year in advance in a non El Nino year.
Thankfully El Nino does not seem to be having a similar impact on Tamara's forecast

They’ve been leaving the coast off the long term forecast randomly too |
