Mon Apr 30, 18 6:30 pm CGKA - Sandbar debris and being safe |
|
|
Just a reminder that Early Season Conditions are in effect.
That means, not only is the water chilly, the current fairly swift, and the winds funky like Rick James.....
BUT ALSO !
The Sandbar has a lot of debris on it, and there a couple of wood teepee huts arranged along the shoreline that are fun on a sunny day, but a likely death trap for inattentive kiters launching or landing.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS, CHECK THE WATER, CHECK THE WIND, CHECK THE BEACH, AND ESPECIALLY CHECK YOUR EGO.
**A SANDBAR BEACH CLEAN UP WILL BE SCHEDULED LATER THIS MONTH, BASED ON FORECASTED WATER LEVELS FROM THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS (the guys controlling the water flows at the Dams).
Springtime Funtime is here and it's always more fun when everyone stays healthy and safe.
Thank you
