Also, he used to be the editor of Kiteboarding magazine before they got shut down.

Amazing feat! I presume Mt. St. Helens is legal to kite, but how about other high peaks that are in wilderness areas or national parks?
Also, maybe it's the perspective, but I'm not sure that's the highest snowkite glide ever filmed in North America. I've seen some big ones, including these two we recently filmed on Red Lake Peak at Carson Pass in the sierra:

I agree only to a point.
In this case however, during the high/long glide jump the switch to a vertical frame creates dramatic inclusion of the land horizon in frame with the subject (athlete & kite). It is much too often that framing sport dulls the action when it does not include and reference all critical relations (Land/water conditions, athlete & kite). Some would say vertical frames of 1:27-1:43 is thoughtful editing; yet beginning and ending the clip with horizontal framing.

The glide was pretty sick but I am not sure about it being the biggest glide filmed in North America. I am on the green kite you can see on the ground and had a good view.

I watch the glide and know where he took off from. I watched a glide last year at the same ridge which started from a much higher starting point.
