My water proof housing for my Hero3 was leaking due to the latch getting damaged. I couldn't find a replacement latch on their website so I contacted support. Within an hour a rep emailed me back and a week later I had a free replacement latch in the mailbox. Fan for life!

This is good information to share, thank you.
Our current experiences with the warranty services for dealers is definitely not as quick. We are now about 4 weeks into trying to process warranties for some customers right now.
This is one of those learning occasions where dealing directly with a company is better than via your local dealer.

i had the same thing happen a while back. I called, gave them the S/N and had a new latch in a couple of days.

I have the same experience. No wonder why GoPro has such a good reputation. 2 of the latches was faulty for me and got 2 new ones the following week.
