It's that time of year and most of us would like to hear what works best under the drysuit.

Bottom layer: Moisture wicking shirt and longjohns - keeps your sweat away from your skin

Middle layer: 3/2 wetsuit

Top layer: shell only drysuit (kokatat)

As the water gets warmer I can ditch the wetsuit or replace with something lighter.

Bottom layer: High tech moisture wicking long jongs. Next layer: Polar fleece. This has kept me warm in 35 degree water. Something to keep your feet, hands and head warm is critical. Feet: Atan Mistral or Hot Mistral booties, nothing else even comes close.

I'm using a OR heat drysuit with integrated booties.
so I will dress with wool socks, airblaster ninja then layer fleece top and polypro jogging pants. this totally makes for an enjoyable session especially if you need to go swimming

I use my cold water diving DUI fleece thermal jumper under the drysuit. Lets me kite in mid 30's water temps with no issue - even though I should be snow kiting. Kiting under 40 degrees is just no fun for me anymore though if I spend too much time in the water.

All kinds of thermal layering information out there.
