Thinking about getting my ass kicked again at the coast this weekend. What do the visually impaired do to see in the surf. Can't afford to lose my prescription sun glasses, and contacts get lost in the wash cycle. Suggestion, other than stay home?

1. get croakies for your sunglasses.
2. wear a hood over your glasses and croakies tucked inside - they will keep your sunglasses from coming off.
3. if you don't have a hood - tie the croakies to your wetsuit zipper pull.
4. on second thought - if you can't figure out a way to secure your glasses - stay home.

All good ideas. If you absolutely have to use your prescription glasses, then attach some kind of croakies that go all the way up the ear piece arms all the way up to the hinge. Make sure there is little to no play with the croakies ie that they are tightly attached to your head. Also, use a length of old kite line from an old bar and attached a swiveled hook (fisherman's gear) on both the back of you croakies and one on to the kite line. Attach the kite line onto your zipper of your wetsuit or an elastic string of your wetsuit.

If you do not have to use your prescription sunglasses, than get a pair of SeaSpec sunglasses that already has the croakie system installed within the glasses. Not a bad idea to rig up the backup kite line swivel attachment too.

The croakies within the hood is also a good idea!

helmet secures glasses with croakies - occasionally get fogging issues if you are smokin hot and water is icy cold
