I'm starting lessons in a couple weeks and have been windsurfing, surfing and snowboarding for quite a few years. I live in Kailua HI the trade winds blow year round and can range from 12-25 knots, averaging around 16 in the summer. I weigh 165lbs and am 5'9". I found a deal and was planning on getting the 2014 liquid force overdrive for a board to learn on and then use as a lightwind board as i progress but wasn't sure which size to go with, the 142 X 45 or the 148 X 45.5 CM. Any suggestions?
